DaveW 6 Posted March 16, 2006 my xs stutters when going round corners when your booting it, is this a sign of a weak fuel pump?

westy 0 Posted March 23, 2006 indeed it is I get the spluttering on hard cornering as well, its because the fuel line is positioned across the engine bay - i'm guessing it only happens on hard right-hand corners?
DaveW 6 Posted March 23, 2006 yes it does, tho i think the fuel pump has all to do with it as mine died last night i knew it was on its way out!
Rippthrough 98 Posted March 23, 2006 yes it does, tho i think the fuel pump has all to do with it as mine died last night i knew it was on its way out! My fuel pump fasterner clip disappered this morning with a ping, wondered what the knocking sound was and slowed down, then there was a clunk and the engine stopped... Good job there was only a couple of quid in the tank. Anyone know where I can get a new retaining clip, or is it a scrapyard job? **Back on topic** How about trying an inline 1 way valve in the hose in the engine bay?
