Choice Of Rolling Roads...which One?

Recommended Posts

macaroni

I need my 205xs fuelling/ignition setting up on some rollers and my local ones (Austec in Crawley)are being replaced so I need to look further afield and have found 2 likely candidates. Does anyone have any experience of either of these?

CC engines (www.rollingroadtune.co.uk)in Reading, £48+VAT/hour + parts

Classic cars of Kent (www.classiccarsofkent.co.uk) in Uckfield, £75+VAT/hour + parts.

Both seemed to know their stuff and have experience of my carb. CC engines are very experienced at setting up TU engines, but they are much further away from me, as I live in Tunbridge Wells, which is about 5 miles from Uckfield. So you can see my dilemma.

Any thoughts?

Counter the cost of fuel to get to Reading against the cost of the session in UckField. If you find that it will end up nearley the same price £75/hour then i would definatley go to CC in Reading because, as you pointed out, they are experienced with your engine.

Sounds logical doesn't it, but another thing is that when I spoke to the guy at CC engines, he couldn't remember returning my initial email and phone call, despite the fact that I have the email and voicemail message from him, proving that he did. Didn't fill me with confidence!
