Gti6 Sump On A Alloy 1900 Mi16 Engine

Have been reading here that you can put the GTI6 sump on the MI block. A friend has one I can have and I know these have a trap door baffles. Will this help with oil surge as was reading I need to extend the oil pick up??? Also is it a straight swap or do I need diferent bolts etc as hoping to fit before my Track day this Saturday.

They do fit and you don;t need to extend anything as the Sump Spacer plate (So called) is removed too so the depth is the same as say a 1.6 GTi sump, Bolts might be 1mm bigger on the Iron block engine but worth having anyway just in case.

It doesn't help much at all, just a token jesture really but you can;t drive that fast anyway!!

Cheecky git, just thought it might be worth a try as me mate only was £20 for the sump but if it won't do anything I'll save me money and look for those rear cards from an XS etc.
