mrblonde 0 Posted March 13, 2006 anyone got this done to ther pug?..as i'am thinking of doing this to mine.whats the con's and pros?.
mbayley77 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Pro's = great sound especially on full chat. Increased power and torque. con's = every 6 months or so may need a tune up, increased fuel consumption overall in my opinion a great mod
Jonmurgie 2 Posted March 13, 2006 Try some searchs... I think the general feeling now is that for not 'that' much more you can go for Throttle Bodies and a mappable ECU, and that's a LOT micer than carbs
205007 12 Posted March 13, 2006 ive had an 8v and 16v on carbs purely because of the noise worth every penny to scare some grannies down sainos carpark!! fuel consumption wasnt tooo bad but make sure you tell your insurer and make sure you get some decent rebuilt/newish carbs

mfield 20 Posted March 13, 2006 Jon, what are the advantages of TB's over carbs for the extra cash? Sorry if this is a dumb question? Traceability (sp) and better mpg (on average ) not much on the top end power figure but sure they are better for midrange gains.
