Moys1.9 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Where would I put a jack under the engine to lift it up to make it easier to get to the Cambelt side?
Ahl 4 Posted March 10, 2006 Probably on the sump, but you'd want to put a bit of wood between that and the jack in order to spread the load.

Moys1.9 0 Posted March 10, 2006 we're struggling to actually get at the cambelt. We've tried jacking the engine up now but its pushing against the brake servo thingy . We're doin this job on my driveway and are a bit limited on knowledge. Any tips?
Ahl 4 Posted March 10, 2006 You should be able to get at the cambelt with the cover off regardless of whether its jacked up or not. Usually you'd undo the engine mount and jack the engine up so you could get the cam belt off, if thats what you mean. Just pull the engine forward (carefully) or wedge a bit of wood between it and the bulkhead to stop it hitting the servo.
