Weitec Coilovers

I've got the chance to get some Weitec Hicon TX coilovers (bump and height adjustable (35-60) complete with helper springs and rear fixed rate dampers) for a decent price, has anyone heard anything about them?

 

I've been told by the supplier (who also imports KW Suspension) that they come out of the same factory, just rebadged pretty much - and it would appear that is the case, the construction of them is almost identical.

if they are made by KW go for it, they make top notch dampers

Couple of my mates that run jap cars are always raving about Weitec, aparently good bits of kit!

ended up buying a brand new set of koni yellows (fronts & rears) as they were cheaper and a 'known quantity' - plus the rears are adjustable into the bargain (altho they will be left on 0 when I get them on the car, can't be arsed with skippity doo dah!)

 

so no reports on the weitecs from me, unfortunately.

Which ones are the yellows - RSK or SSK etc?

they're the ones that come in red boxes (god knows why!) - the part no's are 30-1314Sport for the rears and 8710-5003RSport/8710-5003LSport for the front right and left.

 

The box has 'Special "D"' written on it.
