Fitting Flexiglass Windows

Recommended Posts

Guest ecosse205

Hi,

Has anyone gone for the bolting option of the rear qtr windows in flexiglass ? Have just ordered these and wonder if anyone has any tips on bolting them in. As usually there is a knack to everything !!

Cheers

William

Depends o nthe size of the windows, GTI or base. Best is to use the base model rubbers. I started with GTI size and bolted, you can see the details on my website. Cutting them to base size and using the right rubbers is the way to go.

same here... no point bolting them as they will leak (ask sean!) and the rubbers make it nice and easy, the added weith isn't really worth worrying about unless you totally don't mind a car full of water :) Also personally I'd recommend getting NEW rubbers from peugeot (about £12 each) as they will be more supple and easier to work with (though it's STILL a pain to fit!)

Potential tip with these rubbers could be bathing them in some hot water before fitting them if suppleness is a problem.

Hey if it works with stubborn water hose probably work with these too?

Nate.
