hengti 2 Posted March 3, 2006 Looking to replace the right hand engine mount at some point Believe it's somewhere near the battery tray - ? Couple of quick questions - is it any easy job? if I go for an uprated (grp n?) mount, will the car vibrate much more than with a std one? e30m3 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Very easy job. just remove the battery, I'd put a jack under the gearbox to stop it droping and then you've got 2 13mm nuts and a larger nut (could be 16mm) and it comes straight off. I've not trid the Gpn N mounts but hopefully will be soon. I'd go for them over the standard ones
j_turnell 137 3 Cars Posted March 3, 2006 The large nut is 18mm, and it shouldnt vibrate too much with just the group n gearbox mount but if you do the bottom one especially you will notice vibrations but they will settle over time.
