Car Doesen't Work With The Afm Connected.

Recommended Posts

Well, a friend of mine had rebuild is engine. since he mounted it in the car e can't run the car with the AFM connected. Everytime we connect it, the car in 15/10 sec will turn off even with trotle opened... With the AFM disconnected it will run, but in a reach mixture...

We have tried, ECU, Dizzy, AFM, and always the same thing.

Thank you

MIght sound stupid - but I had a similar problem aafter my mi16 install and I discovered I'd managed to refit the AFM back to front (changed the induction system from standard to K&N) so any airflow just closed the AFM flap rather than opened it...

Something must be wrong as mine wouldn't run well at all without the AFM connected.

Check for any plugs connected in the wrong place & the plugs for pushed back pins.

Graham.
