Moys1.9 0 Posted March 1, 2006 Got my car back from havin head gasket done and had a lot of probs since. Car is misfiring and i've done all the following. checked firing order replaced dizzy cap, plugs and HT leads Replaced ignition coil The cars also struggling to start. everytime its going its from a bump start. Does this sound like bad news? My mates gonna do a compression test this week at some point cause he's suggested that maybe there's a crack in the cylinder head , Does this sound right? Is there any thing I can do to check it? cheers I would imagine it amplifies the ignition signal (guess work) ..dont know about checking it. but i have heard a dodgy one can cause misfire's . Moys1.9 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Got local mech I know to take a look at my car and he took the plugs out and they all stunk of fuel. Also 2 where black and they're all new. He reckons the timing belt isn't set correctly. Its gonna be next friday before I can look at that . Another week of using my bike and gettin lifts.
