hexhamstu 9 Posted March 1, 2006 the power steering is fine when moving at any speed. but if im either dry steering or moving very slowly, the power steering comes in waves and if i turn the wheel really far something is knocking in the engine bay, also i can hear a belt slipping. i havent actually had a look yet. is the power steering pump just loose or something? i'll go have a look now. JERAM 0 Posted March 1, 2006 it's more due to your car having to run a 405 steering pump, drives of the cam shaft so you dont have the same presure as the std one that runs of crank (runs half the speed) there is not much you can do about it other than go electric it's a MI you should not be driving it under 4000 rpm anyway...!!
