Clutch Arm Yellow Bush (in The Top Of The Gear Box Housing)

Recommended Posts

joni

The Clutch arm yellow bush (in the top of the gear box housing) has worn and there is a fair amount of play. Although the clutch still works fine i thought i might replace the bush (if this is possible) while the gearbox is out of the car. Has had anybody had this problem? Do you know where i can get hte part and how do you catually do it? I tried the last time the box was out but was in a rush to get hte car together so left it till the next time (i.e. now).

Cheers,

John

Happens all the time and I replace them always when I have the box off.

The fork and lever need to come off/out.

You can get the part from the pug or cit dealer.

Done mine about a month ago. Needed a the burners to get the pin out and to get the arm to actually rotate and come off the shaft. You need the box out for this job. The parts are easily got from a pug dealer. think the kit comes with two of everything 2- pins and both bushings. The pin is a nightmare i must say. Had to drill it out in the end and as i said heat the arm to get it off. Best of luck with it.

i've ordered the bushes from peugeot and am waiting for them to arrive (should be tomorrow). They are very cheap (about £1.50 each) and it's the white ones you need. The yellow ones are for the later be gearboxes even thought they came with yellow ones from the factory :)

i'll tell you the part no.s tomorrow. If they end up coming in bags of 5 or so, i'll give you 1 if you still need them

sorry, i got the colours mixed up, it is the yellow ones that you need and the white bushes are for be boxes after 04/93

i got the bits today and the part no.s are 2175 22, 2175 14, 2175 15 and 2175 56. They all come in bags of 2 but the 2175 56 are in bags of 10 :) they weren't expensive but doubled the cost of what i thought it would be as they weren't available seperately
