jochem 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Mounts are the same. Only the rubbers on the top mount to prevent forward and backward movement are different. I use the 306 ones, more support for the 306 mount.
DaveK 0 Posted February 23, 2006 excellent, ill just buy the full set then and get rubbers when i get the engine! cheers jochem
Garry 1 Posted February 23, 2006 Just to confirm, I have used the whole kit supplied by Baker Bushes and mountings on my 6 engined 205. All fits fine, I used the buffers supplied with the kit but put some washers behind them to get a tight fit.
alternative 0 Posted February 24, 2006 Does the 6 bottom mounting bush make the engine firm enough to stop it hitting the bulkhead?
Garry 1 Posted February 24, 2006 I would have thought so, its quite stiff at the moment, but may soften. I have a custom manifold so it not entirely sure.
jochem 0 Posted February 24, 2006 Does the 6 bottom mounting bush make the engine firm enough to stop it hitting the bulkhead? The standard bush isnt firm enough to limit engine movement in my experience. I still experience knocks, despite bulkhead bashing.
