Guest eddscruff Posted February 22, 2006 Does a 1.9 8v flywheel fit an Mi16 engine? I was told that the Mi i just bought had an 8v flywheel, clutch and 1.6 box. After receiving my new clutch i found out that i actually have an Mi flywheel so the clutch doesn't fit. Was thinking of getting the flywheel lightened and balenced before all this, so i'm definately going to now. So......back to origional question. can i fit a 8V flywheel to my Mi? Whats involved in lighten and balence? Where to get it done?

Whats involved in lighten and balence? Where to get it done? As far as the lightening and balancing goes, do a search as it's been covered lots. I searched it last week and there's a reasonable amount of info. you'll need to read before you have it done IMO.
Banjo 1 Posted February 22, 2006 The 8v flywheel does not have the teeth for the crank position sensor. Ben
Adam B 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Id search it mate... might need to change the clutch fork too. Banjo - He might be running 8v management = no crank sensor needed
