Think My Steering Rack May Be Busted

Recommended Posts

:)

As above really. It pulls to the left slightly when I put my foot on the gas and then when I lift off, it pulls to the right (I think!!!)

Could this be a faulty/ worn steering rack? The pull is inly a 'one off' pull when I alter my speed either up or down the way.

This will almost certainly be a worn wishbone bush.

Could as so be pinch bolt snapped lower part of the hub, dont drive it or you oval the hub (if its the pinch bolt)

With the handbreak on try and rotate each wheel forward and back to locate which side it is.

Wishbone bushes.

I spent ages under mine t'other day pushing and pulling on bits of suspension with levers, testing the RH front brake etc to try and find out why mine pulls left on braking....

...after finding nothing, decided to take the LH wishbone off (it's not hard) to check the bushes. And what did I find....

...a very kn*****ed rear wishbone mounting rubber :(
