405 Mi16 Inlet Manifold

Recommended Posts

ive removed all but one of the hex bolts that hold in place the inlet manifold, but i can get one out as the heads rounded! ive tried a special tool to go over the top but as its the last bolt to the right side of the manifold there isnt enough space to get it around the bolt! any ideas how i can get it out? without drilling it? lol

I usually try it with soaking in wd40 for a while and then set a vice grip on it.

I hate it when people dont use copper ease etc.

I would say... just drill it out.

And then just get the remains out afterwards. Maybe by welding a nut to the remains.

You could also try and heat the area up with a heat-gun, then give the bolt-head a bash with a hammer, and try to unscrew it.. but I like the drilling attempt

like i say the bolt thread is fine, if not a lil tight, its the hex/star fitment on top thats knackered.
