Tt Boost Switch

Anyone know how these are wired up?

I've had mine ripped off and I need to know which wires go where.

There are 4 in total.

2 of the wires are spliced into the rear fod switch.

I'm presuming that one is a power feed for the boost button's light.

One is a general power feed.

One is an earth and one is clearly the for the switch output as that is still connected at the other end.

However, the switch itslef has no marking on it and there are 5 connectors!

Does anyone know?

I cant get my phone to connect to my computer right now. If you want a copy of the picture I took pm me your mobile number and I'll send it to you.

Mine is wired in like this

When looking at the back of the switch

empty spade _______________________________________________ red and yellow wire

red and yellow wire----------red and yellow wire & blue wire ___________________ blue wire

Bear in mind I've not had it working but have no resaon to think it's not right.

Hope this can help in some way  .

My cars in even more bits now so I can hopefully make this a bit clearer. The switch on my car is a standard pug rear screen heater switch.

As you look at the above picture there are 8 pin locations (some have small stubs rather than pins though)

Imagine they are numbered like this:

1234

5678

1. blank

2. blank

3. earth (mine is spliced into the hazzard earth)

4. blank

5. joined to 7

6. blank

7. Power feed (& joined to 5) mine is spliced into the rear screen heater power feed

8. Power out, goes to boost solenoid

I didn't bother getting the wire numbers because teknopug has told me his switch was wired through the side lights.

Hope that can be a bit more help.

That's excellent Rick - you're a star. I don't think that mine was originally wired like that - didn't have the 5-7 connection. However, I have a receipt saying that it was rewired by a garage for a former owner. Now I know the layout of the switch I can at least wire it back to how it was before and then have a play about with an alternative method. Full boost here we come - Yaaaayyyy!!!! :D

I only have 3 wires, 5-7 connection is probably so the light comes on. Your 4th wire prob goes into 5.

Happy boosting! :D
