Good question.

I have the same problem. There is a small split in the rubber but the joint is fine and it needs an MOT.

I haven't enquired yet but I would imagine if you were to phone a company that produces ball joints etc. they would probably send you one out in the post.

Rally Design sell poly ones for track rod ends. Not sure if they are any good or if they will fit, but worth looking into.

I dont think that you will fail a MOT on split ball joint rubbers (?). If it was a CV joint and grease was spraying out every where that might be a different matter. It is obviously wise to fix it as soon as possible though since the joint will wear out pretty quick without a cover.

I am in the same position with a perfectly good wishbone but the ball joint rubber has a small split. Surely the rubbers are available somewhere. I did wonder whether a bike inner tube repair patch might stick on ok. I'll maybe give it a try.

Didn't someone once say that ones from a Morris Minor could be made to fit?

If you take the measurements & call a classic car parts place I'm sure they would find you something.

Mark.
