Alex G 0 Posted February 16, 2006 i recently had this problem, except it used to drop off after about 4500, turned out to be a dodgy connection in the brown multiplug above the gearbox.
205007 12 Posted February 18, 2006 i had an mi on carbs that did that at 8000 rpm + shortly followed by a bottom end rebuild.........
Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted February 19, 2006 lol @ Adam Yes it does sound like thr infamous brown multiplug that is under the air flow meter. I had this driving back from France on the 205 Anniversary run and it scared the crap out of me Only after making it back to the UK and 2 oil changes later did I find the fault! RobMGti 0 Posted February 20, 2006 This isnt exactly relevant but i did a thread a while ago regarding a 205 i had. When i hit 6000rpm the Oil Temp and Oil pressure guage flipped and went mental spinning everywhere. Turned out to be a loose connection :s made me jump everytime it happened lol
