Gavin Waddell 18 Posted February 12, 2006 in the final stages of putting thr mi in and have come to a kittle hurdle which is the throttle cable. mow the 1,6 one is to short and i dont have the Mi. Îve looked around on the forum for engine bay photos and got a few ideas. was thinking using the original mount and using a brake cable for a mtb for the extra length. would this seeem about right, if not what are other people running on theirs. gavin
Paintguy 0 Posted February 12, 2006 I'm sure sombody more knowledgable will come along soon, but the advice I was given was to get a universal 405 one from a Pug dealer. Apparently they are over-length, and can be trimmed to size.
jackherer 543 Posted February 12, 2006 as paintguy says, or citroen dealers sell the same thing, just ask for a bx 16v or 405 mi16 throttle cable and you cant go wrong (unless you ask for a bx part at the pug dealers or vice versa, something I do all the time )
dee205 3 Posted February 12, 2006 The cable I bought from a local motor factors was for a 405 to name but a few other vehicles. Universal and was about 3 foot longer than I needed. Just a matter of cutting it to the required size. Damien
