Sandy 191 Posted February 10, 2006 I've just got my latest inlet manifold desn back from my fabricator mate. For those of you that remember the one I made not long back for my 205 (Using an S1 head) with SF single bodies, this one is 50mm longer and designed for DCOE bodies. I increased the length for three reasons, firstly to keep a good an angle of attack on the port with DCOE spacing (90mm bore spacing vs 64mm with SF's), to move the throttle plates further from the bendy section, hopefully reducing turbulence slightly (the merits of this are arguable, but I have a sense of adventure) and finally to enable a second set of injectors to be run a long way upstream, in the bodies for better fuel mixing at high rpm, although i don't intend to do this just yet. The manifold will be used on my old 205 and if successful i will be making a 106 friendly one that is upswept but similarly layed out. http://hecticnights.com/tmp/sandy/DCOEmanifold2.jpg http://hecticnights.com/tmp/sandy/DCOEmanifold1.jpg Here's the SF set up I designed previously, which sam now runs on his 205: http://hecticnights.com/tmp/sandy/Ebodies.JPG
stu_woac 1 Posted February 10, 2006 that bloody long sandy is its a good fit in the 205?
Rippthrough 98 Posted February 10, 2006 Looks gorgeous. I was thinking of using some of sonofsams' trumpets for a manifold, haven't measured up yet so don't know if there'll be room
Sandy 191 Posted February 10, 2006 Should be a snug fit according to my measurements, i'll find out for sure tomorrow
