RobMGti 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Lars is fairly mad by all accounts. A couple of the Derv mad guys on the PGAC were going out for him to map their HDi's a while back as he is the only person in the world who has the know how to do it (supposedly). They built their engines on an exact copy of his 206 with instructions and advice from the man himself. Not sure if Coxy or any of them made it though. tom_m 0 Posted February 10, 2006 definatly crazy! how does that turbo set up work tho? he's running the second turbo in line off the exhaust of the first, and the second turbo is feeding its boost in line into the first turbo? doesn't sound effiecient to me i could be wrong tho
DrSeuss 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Multistage turbines are quite common in the power generation industry and it works on very sound principals. Basically taking more energy out of the exhaust then a single turbo is capable of. Diesel engines are ideal because they're just so strong. 22:1 compression ratio is required for operation. EnglishRob 0 Posted February 10, 2006 That is really cool! My girlfriend has been nagging me to get a Turbo Diesel, wonder what she'd think of one of them :-D Rob

Hopefully within 2 months or so (when i finish uni) this should be a go. Ill start a new thread when it gets going. Rob
James_R 3 Posted February 14, 2006 twins stage turbo charging, awesome, trackor pulling stuff that is, if both turbo's make a bar wen boosting it's a multiplyer, so you'd get 2 bar, awesome, I've got a clip somewhere of a F350 pick up in the state, running 90PSi and does a 1/4 pass in 11 something

I'd expect a 1.1 to do an 11 something with 90Psi of boost.
