Guest WillN Posted February 9, 2006 I know this subject has been covered loads in the past, but I just wondered if anyone has come across a supplier of standard 1.9 mi16 pistons and liners recently. I'm doing a full rebuild at the moment and wanted to change them, (didn't even think about the possibilty of them not being made anymore ) I've found Accralite but I'm not paying £160 a piston. Don't need them to be forged as the engine's being kept pretty much standard....
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted February 9, 2006 Try the forum sponser QEP & see if he has any stock but iirc they have stopped making them. Pumaracing did also say he could still get them near the end of last year I think. Graham.

Mattsav 1 Posted February 9, 2006 New Mi16 Pistons are like Rocking horse Poo. I did have some a couple of years ago (old stock from france) but they've all gone now. Liners are available though and I can do very good prices on forged pistons. I've got 5 sets of 84mm Wiseco's with bored liners and several sets of 83.5mm IAPEL pistons ( very large valve cutouts and high crowns) with new 83.5mm liners. Pm me or call me for prices 01444 243720 (much cheaper than accralites )
Guest WillN Posted February 9, 2006 whats wrong with the ones in the engine your rebuilding? Nothing major, a bit of pitting. Suppose I could just do the liners but as I've got it apart.......
