Differences In Dizzy Caps Between 1.6 And 1.9?

have done a search but couldnt find anything on this.

 

am in the garage now and need an answer quick!

 

is there a difference between a 1.6 J plate dizzy cap and a H plate 1.9 cap?

They should be the same, generally the Bosch type for that year.

thanks for that. it rules out that problem. will pick up a timing light tommorrow and see what thats like. dont think the SAD is functioning correctly either but i ve taken that out of the equation and blocked both pipes for now. cold runnings not an issue as its for a track day next monday. if i can sort out what can only be the timing i can do a few test miles over the weekend

You can get small differences between caps depending on where they're from. Some can be more oval and you dont get the same strength of spark. tbh it doesn't make a great deal of odds.
