driversdomainuk 8 Posted February 4, 2006 (edited) Hi I have come to the conclusion that my bottom end is on its way out, as it appers to be leaking from many places down below - most is only slight leakage, but have found a major leak area - it appears to be coming from, what looks like to be a green plug just to the drivers side of the starter motor....just below the carbs in my case. It is very hard to see if it is, but any ideas what this green plug could be - i think I could also make out a lead going into it..? Cheers Edited February 4, 2006 by driversdomainuk
Jonmurgie 2 Posted February 4, 2006 That's your oil pressure sensor I believe, perhaps the seal has gone on it or something? Maybe your going to have to pull the carbs off to have a good look over the engine to find where it's coming from though...
Guest yaztromo Posted February 5, 2006 You should see two plugs there. The one furtherst from the starter motor is the oil pressure warning light sender and the other is for the pressure guage sender. The seal on my warning light switch went a few months ago. Cost about a tenner for a new one and 5 mins to fit.

Guest yaztromo Posted February 5, 2006 :) Its only a 20p copper washer unless you mean the actual stop switch was leaking. Graham. Sorry yeah it was the switch. It was completely knackered. The oil was going straight through the switch. The seal itself was okay.
