Crap Idleing

just trying to find some info on poor idleing on my 205 1.9 gti.is there anything i can clean or replace and is there any pics of where the icv is? cheers

The 205 GTi doesn't have an ICV.

 

Try a

searchanimated1yr.gif

as bad idling has been covered loads previously, make sure you select to search all forums.

sorry did not know it did not have a icv i did search for it but nothing came up :( now i know why

Do a search on the Supplimentery Air Device and how to check it. It's always a good first port of call if there's no obvious causes.

at the mo im just going by what the guy said about the car.he said it ldles funny so when i get the car i will ckeck out the lille bits first

Could be the air flow meter, the bi-metallic strip inside the air chamber gets dirty. Remove the meter and clean thouroughly with carburetor cleaner.
