MikeT 0 Posted January 29, 2006 (edited) Going to be having a look at my 205 again today, would really appreciate some pointers / things to look for to try and figure out why its running on three. 1) going to do a compression test 2) check spark / change spark plug 3) check HT lead / replace HT lead on problem cylinder 4) check injector is supplying fuel could distributor or rotor arm be to blame here? Anything else to check for? Cheers Mike Edited January 29, 2006 by MikeT
littlemike 0 Posted January 29, 2006 If it's not spark related then it could be a valve or head gasket problem which will show up with your compression test. Does it run on three at all times or just at certain revs/when either hot or cold?

It runs on three all the time - hasn't shown any signs of terminal problems before christmas when I was using it - hope its not headgasket or valve related
MikeT 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Woohoo got roughly 200 psi on the compression test - ended up taking the wiring off the connector for the injector where the wire goes in and it turned out that a connection wasnt being made.. Why isn't everything this simple all the time? - Im very happy and have just given it a quick thrash down the local country roads , been well over a month since I last drove it; & been stuck driving the wifes 1.2 corsa . Needed reminding why I love the 205 so much Cheers Mike
