Recommended Posts

its time to replace my exhaust with a shiney new group-n system, have been trying to find out if the 3pc downpipe from the 205 gti will fit onto the s16 exhaust manifold ok so i'm able to run the group-n without any problems.

I have an oe 3 piece system, the downpipe flange needs reangling and is a 'little' on the small side. I intend on replacing mine with a straight through centre section at some point (or maybe a t16 manifold).

I don't know, you could get a custom one if you wanted. S16 system should be 2.5" bore and only has a 10cm split. So what i have fitted is probably a slight restriction. But i had it, and it was nearly new.

offer it up and you'll see what i mean.

A gap is formed at the top of the flange causing a massive blow. If you chop out a straight wedge then bend the flange down to suit (re-weld etc). then it should mate up fine.

No, the clearance is as you'd find on an 8v.
