Owain1602 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Hello, i have quite an interesting dilema. It just a bit off topic but i dont know anywhere else that people such as Dave Baker answer questions on the internet. We have a 02 Golf GT TDi which has the new PD type of engine which doesnt have a diesel pump but the injectors acr as the pump in the garage where i work, we are a Bosch service agents and specialise in Audi VW and other german cars, anyway. This golf has what i believe to be a small end rattle, i had the sump off today and there doesnt seem to be any play in the big ends anyway. I took the rocker cover off and had a look and what I found was quite weird. One of the cam followers had like a brown ring around the top part at the edge, looks like rust but its not dry like rust would be. that cam lobe seems spot on and all other lobes and followers seem good. any ideas, someone like dave dave baker maybe, ore anyone else that has any ideas?? thanks guys Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
