allanallen 528 2 Cars Posted January 24, 2006 im running 2 amps in my 405 pimp wagon a 400w and a 600w. power is coming from 1 cable split on a block into 2, but i need to know what size fuse to use? and will they be okay on the same earth point
jeremy 71 Posted January 24, 2006 Not sure on the fuses, but you should make sure that the earth wire or in your case the collective earth wire thickness is the same as that of the power cable. Yes you can use the same earth point on the car.
Ryan 99 Posted January 24, 2006 Watts = Amps x Volts. 400W = 33.33A x 12V 600W = 50A x 12V Since the amplifiers won't be 100% efficent (they will generate heat as well) then I'd say go for a 40A and a 60A if you have seperate fuses, or 100A if you have a single shared fuse. Dj_mini 7 Posted January 24, 2006 Cabe size should be considered here as doesnt matter if the fuse size is correct for the amp but to large for cable as it will equal one thing fire!
Pugnut 9 1 Cars Posted January 24, 2006 its normally recommended that you earth the amps at seperate points for a cleaner sound
