M@tt 77 Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) i took the bits of piping i had from my 205 pas rack that have been cut through to a company called pirtek www.pirtek.co.uk who do pipes and stuff to see if they could make me up some new ones. I took the picture of the 405 pipes to show them what i wanted. i've just had a phone call to say that they guy believes that the pipe has what he calls a restrictor in it which apparently prevents surges in the fluid. He seems to thing the metal bands are those. can anyone confirm this for me? or will it simply be ok to use normal hyraulic rubber piping mated up to the metal piping Edited January 23, 2006 by M@tt
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted January 23, 2006 I;ve never cut one open or even thought about that, But I have had these made without any problems, You'll find that the 205,309 & 405 ones differ anyway from mainly hose on the 309 to metal piping on the 205, Also year depending you get a longer pipe on the return (Low pressure) side to cool the fluid down
M@tt 77 Posted January 23, 2006 so do you reckon just getting some standard hydraulic rubber piping will suffice? anyone fancy measuring the length of one so i can tell them how much extra i need to add on thanks Matt
