allanallen 528 2 Cars Posted January 21, 2006 i want to pu a 106gti engine in my base modle 205 i want to know if a MS ecu would be compatable with the standard throttle pot and MPI? im on a budget! i dont want to have to mess about unlocking the standard ecu coz they aint that good anyway? or am i wrong? and surely there are long term tuning benifits having the ms? DrSeuss 0 Posted January 21, 2006 standard throttle pot and coil pack SHOULD be compatible with megasquirt. You'll still have to do some wiring with the megasquirt. Ultimately megasquirt gives you more scope for changes like cams and tb's at a later date. But the standard ecu is remappable. Its swings and roundabouts.
