Richie-Van-GTi 71 2 Cars Posted January 19, 2006 you can replace the arm on its own, there will be a pin through the bit thats left, try and knock that out and then the remains will lever off, pop a new arm on and replace the pin through it. In theory you dont even haveto remove the box, but it all depends on getting enough access and angle to knock the pin out and the remains off.

KRISKARRERA 2 1 Cars Posted January 20, 2006 I had this on my grey 405, a 1992 model. Then the clutch cable snapped. Shortly after that the clutch went. Gawd that car was a nightmare.
Guest Quakes Posted January 20, 2006 Im working on the car at the moment and i can lift the broken bit up slightly there a big bolty looking thing going through the middle that wont budge and a sort of clip below it can someone please tell me how i remove this thing haynes refers to it as relay lever i think heres a photo. http://www.oneill5.com/mycar/arm.JPG i dont know whether i should be working on the thing in the upper circle which i appears to be a sort of clip that ive lifted and moved right or the threaded bolt-ish thing in the lower circle that appears threaded thus unremoveable and is the same out of both sides please help (have decided now to continue work tommorow )
