Coil Wiring On 205 1.6 Gti

Recommended Posts

Guest clarky205

Can any of you guys help me? I took the coil and bits off to do a bit of gearbox work on the old girl and stupidly i forgot to note down the correct positions of the coil wires!!!

I have the green and the grey to the +ve side and the orange on the -ve side, I dont have the numbers on the wires but just wondered if anyone could tell me what the wires do and where they should be.

Thanks

Not sure it matter too much given what the coil is, off the top of my head on my 1.9 the red wires are at the front of the car and the others are at the back but not sure of the +/- on the coil from memory I'm afraid.

The red wires go to + although as you say Rob it shouldn't make a great deal of difference.

I think wire number 112 is the rev counter, dont try and start the car if you think the wires may be on the wrong way round as it will blow the ignition amp, I found this out on an mi :o

All Sorted thanks guys!!

It was the green wire that was wrong (which is the feed back to ECU to tell it to deliver some fuel!!)

Fired up first time!!
