pugrallye 0 Posted January 15, 2006 I'll add them to the huge enginemanagement website fantastic system, very powerful, but very costly to set up due to expanse of features
rich_w 0 Posted January 15, 2006 I believe there used on many of the WRC cars. Some time ago I looked into them and found out some prices - about 800 quid for the basic unit! (But that might have been from a USA website and converted $ > £)

DrSeuss 0 Posted January 15, 2006 (edited) a couple of mates of mine work for Pi Research making ecu's for dump trucks. Pi research i should explain is a branch of Pectel. Edited January 15, 2006 by DrSeuss
Hilgie 16 2 Cars Posted January 15, 2006 Is their basic T2 ECU also that expensive? Because looking at the spec sheet it's nothing fancy (only 4 high imp. injectors, 2 coils). KMS can do much more.
rich_w 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Well having a quick look for the pectal T2, i've seen on a couple of forums prices from 1000 - 1500 quid, opps looks like i was out but a little. I suppose its the stuff inside? Or maybe its a name thing...
DrSeuss 0 Posted January 15, 2006 its probably more an issue with flexibility of mapping. Expensive ecu's allow you to tweak and compress map sites to really iron out flat spots. You pay for that kind of flexibility and the quality of tuning software.
