Nathan_marriott 0 Posted January 9, 2006 Ive been offered a 23mm ARB and wonder will it be worth fitting to my ex 205 challenge car. Its got Bilstein (coilover) Tarmac Front springs and dampers and std torsion bars and bilstein rear shockers, will it make the handling dire and not waste my money or is it worth fitting it??? mi16nut 0 Posted January 9, 2006 I presume it's the rear ARB? If so, definitely yes; good step up from the standard 19mm. I've got a 24mm on my 309 beam with standard torsion bars (20mm). Combine it with Group A solid mounts for best effect. Turn in definitely improved & corners nice & flat. Mark.
C_W 3 1 Cars Posted January 9, 2006 If its an ex-race car it wouldn't surprise me if its not already got a thicker rear ARB?
SimonJ 2 Posted January 9, 2006 You aren't allowed to uprate the rear bars in that series AFAIK.

Foltan 0 Posted January 10, 2006 He's not entering that series afaik. yeah but what simon means is that the 205 wont already hav had one fitted because theyre not allowed, because C_W was saying that one may have already been fitted
Butler 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Fit it. If you don't like it you'll have no trouble selling a part like that.
C_W 3 1 Cars Posted January 10, 2006 (edited) IC, I thought it was something along the lines of "you can uprate it as long as its the same design from factory" kind of thing. It's an easy swap so may aswell fit it! Edited January 10, 2006 by C_W
