simsk 1 Posted January 9, 2006 i have just completed rebuilding the top end on my 1.9 gti. and yeserday was starting up day. but like always luck is not on my side. the timing on the cambelt was all spot on. i used the 10mm dowels. spark plugs are sparking and went through the timing on the dizzy about 10 times. there is fuel pressure in the fuel rail and the injectors are squirting some fuel. i measured a signal voltage of 0.7V d.c on the injectors but could not see any change. when i put a clean spark plug in it came out black and dry. so is it firing? just not enough to get it going? i dont no and am in a v.deep hole. its costing me lots and alot of time so don;t want to turn to a garage now. anyone got any ideas? please i need help! i reckon it could be electrical fault somewhere but i haven;t touched anything electrical? thankyou.
