Light On Mates Dashboard

Recommended Posts

Guest cwoodsie2

Hi - posting this on behalf of a mate who hasn't access to the forum but owns a 93 1.9GTi with a cat. He was driving along today with the car fully warmed up when the revs died and it tried to stall. This was in gear. At the same time a red light came on the dash to the top right of the rev counter.

Anyone know what this light is?? My 205's long gone so haven't got a handbook to have a look and his is at his old house and he can't get there til tomorrow?

Cheers in advance for the help

Might also be the k light, indicating that there is a fault code stored for a particular problem that is starting.

Thanks for the replies fellas - he thought it may be the Cat. One question though (and sorry if this is very stupid of me)

If this is the case how do you know what this fault code is and can you access it??

You can make a fault code reader with some wire, an LED & a switch, this post might help or this topic
