simon205Mi16 0 Posted January 7, 2006 I am in the process of changing my clutch . I have undone all of the bolts i can see attaching the gearbox to the engine but it does not want to part. I have just read in the haynes manual you have to take the engine and box out before dissmantling them. But surely it can be done with the engine still in the car? ablister 31 Posted January 7, 2006 have you remembered the starter motor, 3 x 8mm allen key bolts? Also the one beside the diff is hidden. Some boxes are just held in with friction after all the bolts are removed so may just need a jerk to break the seal so could be just that Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
