christophe 0 Posted January 6, 2006 I bought a set of bike carbs and manifold and all fuel lines he used on his race car but i wasnt too sure if the way he used it was safe, because he just used the old injection pump, 'T' it off so that the fuel either returned to tank then used a carb regulator and then straight into carb. I know about using a proper carb pump but need money first would it be safe/ reliable for just every day running.

Richie-Van-GTi 71 2 Cars Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) use a 3 tap regulator, you need 4 to 5 psi and then the return goes off the regulator. The carbs then just require one fuel line in and you dont need to worry about the return off them. I'm abou to start building mine up, just waiting on a facet pump and regulator. Ive found so far the cheapest place for the pumps is http://www.fuelsystem.co.uk/ Edited January 6, 2006 by Richie-Van-GTi

christophe 0 Posted January 15, 2006 dodsworth_gti - yep yours is same as mine exactly what i meant but probably explained it wrong, so did you use the same fuel pump as standard or did it get changed for a facet carb pump. Is it reliable because mines going into a every day runner. Also did you do your own air filter box or did you buy it?
