Richie-Van-GTi 71 2 Cars Posted January 2, 2006 I'm putting a 1.9lump into a different car on carbs. Ive got one live feed off the existing loom that can be used to power the coil. Ive noticed though the 1.9 coil generally has 4 wires, Anyone know which coul I should go fo with 1 live and 1 earth? It needs to be a single earth as it drives the tacho as well. jackherer 543 Posted January 3, 2006 the coils have four plugs but two are live and two are earth, on the cylindrical ones you can see the link between the spade connectors, and on the smaller coils the four connectors are arranged like | | | | and again two are live and two are earth, IIRC they are marked with + and - on those coils.
