ellisg 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Pug recommend replacing Mi16 alternators with Mitsubishi ones, if you look in parts CD you will see part number for Mitsu alternator to replace mi16s
KRISKARRERA 2 1 Cars Posted January 1, 2006 Is it 80amp though? Mine's 90 I think.

boombang 2 Posted January 1, 2006 Don't forget that a lot of those amps will go on actually powering the car! Do you not have a local ICE specialist / auto electrical specialist who can rewind the alternator to produce more ampage? I take it also you are not running a split charge system with suitable level of capacitance?
Guest doggydowg Posted January 1, 2006 would be allot better of i could get a company to mod my alternator to make more amps, im going to local ice shop 2m to see what i can get away with and without replacing, might be able to just run it with a 1.5 farad capacitor but doubt it. at the mo i am running no cap btw, i have emailed a company off of ebay who mod alternators and sell them for £200 but its a bit ott for a car stereo. if anyone can list part numbers for mitsibushi alternators that fit on my 1.9 mi16 engine that would be realy usefull as i suspect they are allot more hardcore then the peugeot ones i have been looking at;-) Thanks Paul.
