Super Josh

If you're after the tailgate style ones, then people have been known to fit the 106 bonnet lifters, after a little modifying.

They don't look overly strong!

Gust of wind and a smack across the back of the head?

They is Very Strong Mate !

When Fully Opened Bonnet sits Vertical and needs a good pull to close it.

Have had them on for years and the bonnet is open more often than shut (as with most 205's) and its never budged on windy occasions.

Do the ones from novas go straight on or do you have to bodge a little bit?!

No Bodge required. replace the Bolt in the wing with the "Ball"? also replace one of the Hinge Bolts on the bonnet with the other.

You do have to cut the corner out of the support bar so the bonnet will shut over the strut. I Presume U have to do this with any strut though ?

If you look in the picture its where the rubber on the back of the bonnet sits on the scuttle panel. Not Hard if you have a steady hand and Take Your Time.

Cheers mate, looks like i'll be doing that then as soon as i get my auto bonnet! just a lazy person really, plus the fact that when you tell people you've got an mi lump sat under there(soon to be done)and the bonnet slowly lifts, the suspense of it showing the beast is gonna be great!!

So the balls literally screw straight in then Daz?

I'm tempted to get one myself as I had my bonnet support savagely broken by some arseh0le who posts on here

Could you post a larger pic?

Just looking at the packing and the ball joint bolts are the worng size.

one has a bigger size threed 8mm the pug one is 6mm, and the other one is more like a screw then a bolt.

Holy s*ite...... I have just looked in the box which I had spare in the garge the one I bought from Trax and it has the same fixings :)

The original one I bought was from a company called Online something or other but they have closed down and the proper fittings were in that kit.

Mad Proffesor you have Pm.

There are two manufacturers: Bonrath and INXX

The INXX ones are incorrect and the Bonraths are no longer produced.

I'm fairly sure 97.5% that you will find them on the tailgate of a Saxo holding the tailgate struts.
