Guest QUENT Posted October 14, 2004 I've done a search about this but i cant see anything that quite covers my problem. Basically i have non-remote central locking, which commands all the motors to move quite nicely but fails to lock the passenger door. When trying to lock the car the passenger side motor will whir and the interior press down lock thing will move slightly - but it never locks. I'm fed up of running round locking the doors seperately! Has anyone had this happen before - Any likely causes? Cheers, Gaz Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

TEKNOPUG 3 Posted October 19, 2004 I bet you any money that it's not the motors. I had a similar problem and I swapped the motors over with no benefit. It will be the rather crude rods which connect the motor to the locks. Liberally spary them all with oil and WD40. They are a bit of a pain to get to. You'll have to remove the plastic cover next to the lock. Once you've oiled everything up, repeatly lock and unlock by hand until it all moves smoothly.
