Leet205 48 Posted March 15, 2004 go to a scrappy mate, get urself a screen...there very easy to remove but im not 100% sure on putting them back in (no sealer is involved) but the quickest and most simple way to take it out is cut the top right off the rubber seal and simply lift the screen out...... can anyone advise paul on putting it back in now? Leet205 48 Posted March 15, 2004 tuck in the inside lip of your windscreen rubber with a plain screwdriver starting from the centre inside, work to one corner, then the other, you then proceed to work down the sides. when you have done this you can then push out the screen and lift it out. to refit the replacement screen refit the rubber to it and then run a length of thick string along inside the inside rubber lip having the two ends meeting at the top centre of the screen, you then offer up the screen to the large vent at the front of the car making sure that it is centralised, you should have someone applying light pressure on the outside of the screen you should then start pulling the string towards the centre of the glass whilst holding on to the other end so that it doesnt pull through this should pull the rubber lip over the metal lip, continue doing this until the rubber is in place all the way round. courtesy of my dad - enjoy.
