I Found A Secret Hidden Switch On My Car!

Recommended Posts

Dave

I had the lower section of dashboard out to fit a new speedo cable when I noticed a roller switch on the bottom of the steering column cowling, right at the back. It dims the instrument panel illumination.

Ive never noticed this on any other pug, do they all have it?

Ah well.

I should maybe change the title of this topic to "im quite un-observant and never noticed this standard-fitted switch before"

;)

If anyone has a stereo that is supposed to dim when you turn your lights on the hook it up to the dimmer - it works a treat. The dimmer will also control your head units lights as well as the dash! (this worked lovely with a Kenwood headunit I had a few years back)

i always have mine turned right up, makes the light look all weak as if it's not working properly when it's turned down.
