8V Double Valve Springs

Hi all,

 

Has anyone on here got experience with fitting double valve springs to an 8V XU5/XU9 head? Unfortunately had some valvetrain failures so thinking now might be the time to upgrade.

 

What brand did you use? I’m swaying towards CATCAMS as I like the additional information they supply about their spring/retainer sets.

 

Were any modifications to the head required to fit the springs and/or correct the fitted length?

 

Any advice, information and/or pictures would be much appreciated.
