Battery Cut out switch - FIA - 90° Rotation

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to suggest the make or manufacturer of an 'FIA' type Battery cut off switch (aka 'kill' switch).  Specifically, I am looking for one that has a 90° rotation.

We did have one, but when it wore out, we binned it and then discovered that the replacement we had bought had a 180° rotation. We bought another to find it also had a 180° rotation.

When shopping on-line for them, we haven't found any listings that declare the angle of rotation.

Every reputable source seems to have the Durite reference 0-605-90     with quite varying prices,  from £18 to 36!

I attempted to contact both Sparco and Durite the day you both replied to my post, but I have only just gotten answers today!

I spoke to a helpful guy at Durite.  I asked if he knew the angle of rotation, he said he was "very confident it was 90°".  I asked "how confident?" - he offered to get one from stock and confirm it.  He came back to the phone a few minutes later and apologised.  They are 180°

In parallel I had lodged a help ticket with Sparco; they responded by emailing back the technical data sheet from Italy

The final row of text on the right confirms what Baptiste had inferred.  Its quite a bit more expensive than many of the others, but given the grief Cut-out switches have caused us, possibly money well spent

Thanks again

Perhaps a little off topic, buy I'm absolutely wrapped with my Cartek XR and don't run a conventional 90º switch any longer.
