Horn Rear de-mist Reversing light Electrical fault.

Recommended Posts

My wife has just come home and her horn, rear screen de-mist and the reversing light have stopped working.

Before I cast aside my sandwich and cuppa for a look see, is any body aware of any commonality twixt these 3 circuits please?

I'm not too sure about the reversing light but if it was just the horn, rear defroster and cig lighter then it should be the fuse board that is in need of a bit of solder:

It was a faulty fusebox, I swapped it for a spare.

I hadnt seen Your reply Baptiste, thank You for the potentially helpful reply though.

To anyone looking in the future the clue is : battery voltage is available at the horn switch supply plug hole, wire No 23, in the fusebox, but plummets to zero Volts when the horns pushed or the rear screen de-mister is switched on.

It took me 15 mins to do it but nearly an hour to find the spare fuseboxes.

The reversing light was the bulb failed.

Try to fix your old fusebox to keep it as a "good" spare, the one you're using can last years... or a few days.
