Standard castor and how that equates

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the standard castor on a Gti and if possible what that means in dimensions, IE how far in front of the strut top is the lower ball joint?

Been measuring up for using a 406 hub but the centreline of the strut relative to the lower ball joint/ driveshaft centreline is 10mm further back.

I think standard castor is approx. 3º. Without having wheel alignment machine, I'd probably use the wheelbase measurement as a reference.

Thanks, I will have to try and measure to see what that equates to in hub to strut top position to get an idea on what adjustments I might need to make.
